Production floor workwear has a hygiene job to do first

In most trades, workwear is chosen for durability and appearance. On a food production or manufacturing line, hygiene and process control usually come first, and durability and branding fit in around that. Fabric, colour and fastenings all need to work with your own HACCP plan and site hygiene policy, not against it, so we build around your specification rather than a generic uniform.

Fabric built for the line

Frequent laundering, lint control and durability against repeated washing are the baseline for production floor garments.

Colour-coding by zone

Many sites separate raw and ready-to-eat areas, or departments, by garment colour. We can supply to your existing colour scheme.

Warehouse and yard are different again

Goods-in, dispatch and yard staff have a hi-vis and footwear brief closer to logistics than to the production line.

The food production and manufacturing kit list

What most production sites and factories end up ordering, and what each item is actually for.

Production tunics

The core garment for the line: easy to launder frequently, and available in the colours your hygiene zoning calls for.

Coveralls and overalls

Full coverage for wet or messier processes, or where your site policy calls for single-garment cover.

Warehouse and goods-in hi-vis

For staff working near forklifts and vehicle movement in the warehouse and yard. See our hi-vis regulations guide.

Safety footwear

Slip-resistant, easy-clean footwear for wet production floors, and standard safety boots for the warehouse side. See safety boots.

Fleeces and jackets for cold stores

Chilled and cold store areas need a different kit brief entirely from the ambient production floor.

Office and management polos

For quality, technical and office-based staff who need to be identifiable but do not need production-floor garments. See branded polos and t-shirts.

Trousers and undertunic layers

Practical, easy-care trousers to go with tunics, matched in colour where zoning requires it.

Non-standard fastenings on request

Some sites specify press-studs over buttons or restrict pockets for foreign-body control. Tell us your policy and we will work to it.

Visitor and contractor kit

A simple, low-cost branded option for anyone who needs to be on the floor occasionally rather than daily.

We supply to your specification, not a generic one

Food and manufacturing sites each run their own hygiene policy, and requirements around fabric, fastenings, pockets and colour-coding vary between sites and between auditors. Where your policy specifies something, tell us and we will match it exactly rather than assuming a standard approach applies.

Tell us your zoning

If different colours mark different areas or departments, send us the scheme and we will supply consistently across every order.

Tell us your restrictions

Fastening type, pocket rules, sleeve length or metal-free requirements: we will work to whatever your own hygiene team has specified.

We are not your hygiene or auditing authority. Specification decisions should come from your own HACCP plan, quality team or auditor.

Branding on the production floor

Branding a production tunic works differently to branding a polo, since placement and method need to fit around hygiene requirements rather than just looking good.

Discreet, durable branding

Embroidery and print positions that survive frequent industrial laundering without lifting or cracking. Embroidery vs print compared.

Consistency across shifts and zones

Same logo, same placement, across every tunic colour in your scheme, so the whole site reads as one brand. See our logo placement guide.

Common questions

Can you match our existing colour-coding scheme?

In most cases, yes. Send us your current colours by zone or department and we will supply consistently against that scheme.

Do you supply metal-free or press-stud garments for foreign-body control?

We can source to that kind of specification. Tell us exactly what your policy requires and we will confirm what we can supply against it.

What about warehouse and goods-in staff on the same site?

Their kit is usually closer to a standard logistics brief: hi-vis and safety footwear rather than production tunics. We can quote both sides on one order.

Can a small production unit order without a large minimum?

Yes, there is no minimum order, so a small unit gets the same branding and pricing structure as a larger factory.

How do garments hold up to industrial laundering?

Tell us your laundering method, whether in-house or contracted, and we will recommend fabric accordingly. Our care guide covers general workwear washing.
