Why teams love a gilet
A gilet keeps the body warm while leaving the arms free, which makes it one of the most practical layers for anyone who reaches, lifts or works with their hands. It works over a polo in autumn, over a fleece in winter, and under a waterproof when the weather turns.
Freedom to move
No sleeves to snag or restrict, which suits physical work and driving equally well.
Easy to layer
Adds warmth without bulk as part of a layering system. See our layering guide.
A big branding space
A chest logo on the front and a clear back panel for your company name or web address.
Choose your style
The right gilet depends on where your team works and how cold it gets.
- Padded bodywarmers: quilted, insulated warmth for cold yards, sites and outdoor roles.
- Softshell gilets: smart, wind-resistant and a clean surface for embroidery. See softshell vs fleece.
- Fleece gilets: lightweight and breathable for indoor and front-of-house teams.
- Hi-vis gilets & vests: for roles where your risk assessment calls for visibility. See hi-vis workwear and how hi-vis works.
- Multi-pocket work gilets: tool and phone pockets for trades who want storage on the body.
- Matching layers: pair with fleeces & work jackets or hoodies for a coordinated team look.
A standard gilet with reflective trim is not the same as a certified hi-vis garment. If your risk assessment requires hi-vis, check the garment is certified to the class you need.
Getting the branding right on a gilet
Embroidery
Works beautifully on softshell and fleece. On padded gilets we place the logo on a flat panel where possible, as stitching through quilted padding can pucker. See embroidery vs print.
Print & transfer
Best for hi-vis and for large back designs. Branding is kept clear of reflective tape. See our logo placement guide.
One gilet or a full team set
With no minimum order, you can brand a single gilet for a new starter or kit out the whole team at once, and reorder in the same colours whenever you need to.
