Class 3 kit for live roads

Work on or near high-speed roads usually requires full class 3 hi-vis to EN ISO 20471, meaning a long-sleeve jacket with trousers, or a full hi-vis suit. Many clients also specify orange.

  • Jackets: waterproof, breathable and padded class 3 jackets.
  • Trousers: hi-vis trousers and over-trousers.
  • Layers: hi-vis fleeces, softshells and sweatshirts for night shifts.

Frequently asked questions

What hi-vis class is needed for highways work?

Most highways and traffic management work needs class 3, usually achieved with a class 3 jacket or a class 2 top with class 1 or 2 trousers. Your client contract sets the requirement.
